This summons a fiend (being from the lower planes), which can be a Baatezu (Devil), Tanari (Demon) or Yugoloth.

PCs using this spell are required to pay for the fiend as an Ally unless they're summoned and then dismissed in the same game session. They should always be purchased with the Minion Enhancement. Unwilling is often appropriate, as well. In these cases, Unwilling indicates that the fiend will seek to twist their instructions when they rebel (since they cannot actually disobey).

Some types of fiends relish the chance to “serve” a mortal, during which time they'll attempt to corrupt them. Others simply love the chance to come to the mortal realm, for various reasons.
